We’re sisters, with a Ghanaian father and a love for Ghana and all it has to offer. Asiesie was born from that love, and a desire to preserve the handweaving and hand-carving traditions of those who make our products. The traditional way, is also the sustainable way, as most of our bags are made of straw, a well- known ecofriendly material. Wood and straw, both carbon neutral, have been used by these indigenous African communities for centuries, in order to create necessary goods such as carrying baskets and eating bowls. We’ve blended modern design with traditional techniques, to bring you a collection of exquisite African craftsmanship. Each item is unique, just like the local artisans who make them. Asiesie, with its mix of both heritage and style, is our love letter - from Ghana, to you.
